The
coremicro Palm Navigator 4 is an advanced position/location tracking
and communication device based on the AGNC coremicro AHRS/INS/GPS
Integration Unit. The coremicro Palm Navigator 4 incorporates all
the features of coremicro Palm Navigator 1 and features coremicro
AHRS/INS/GPS integration. It can be used to track multiple flight
vehicles, unmanned aviation vehicles (UAV) and piloted aircraft
simultaneously. When utilized by multiple aircraft, this product
can be used as a collision avoidance system. With the optional display,
this product issues warning messages to the pilot when other aircraft
(equipped with the coremicro Palm Navigator 4) are too close and
may present a threat.
The coremicro Palm Navigator 4 is
ideal for long range, real time tracking applications such as flight
vehicle tracking, UAV tracking, aircraft tracking, collision avoidance
and warning. Participating Palm Navigator units exchange location/position
information with each other through a wireless data link. The tracking
range of the coremicro Palm Navigator 4 is over 60 miles with clear
line of sight.
When implemented in multiple piloted
aircraft the coremicro Palm Navigator 4 functions as "Intelligent
Collision Avoidance System" which represents AGNC's efforts
in the development of advanced avionics systems and technologies
for aircraft collision avoidance systems. Each aircraft’s
position information is shared with other aircraft over an RF data
link. A sunlight readable display is positioned in the aircrew field
of view in each aircraft, which shows the relative positions of
the aircraft in the immediate vicinity of the host aircraft and
the system issues warnings if a collision hazard exists. This system
provides situational awareness to the pilot and enhances the safety
of flight. The design dramatically enhances the air traffic management
capability in the commercial aviation industry.
User Interface:
RS-232,
USB, and RF data link.
